Wordpress Task Manager v1.5 : Comments
Hi,
A new release is here with a huge improvement ![]()
I rewrite a big part of the code to add AJAX in the manager. This allow you to validate, unvalidate, delete, change the view without reload the whole page. This make the plugin faster and more pleasant to use.
I also add the possibility to add comments.
Just next to the bubble you can see the number of comments. Click on it to display them.
You have a resume of all the informations of the tasks, and the comments.
For the moment, it is ugly, I’m so bad in CSS especially with Wordpress. So if you want to help to improve the plugin, contact me

This is a great improvement.
For future, would it be possible to:
- receive email notification on comments
- create sub-tasks (enabling grouping of related tasks)
With these two features, the plugin would become really usable for a project management tasks amongst a team
thanks for your efforts
Hi,
let’s go for mail notification !
For sub-task, I’m going to add category for each task. Of course, the display options will change.
That would work well – look forward to trying it out
thanks
I just installed the plugin and it activated successfully but nothing shows up anywhere on the site. Should i be seeing something on my dashboard?
You don’t have anything in at the bottom of the administration menu ?
Normally in the dashboard, you will see the widget.
What is your version of PHP ? of Wordpress ?
Thanks
@Thomas
No nothing except the normal panels that were there before. I’m using wordpress 2.8.4 and PHP version 5.2.6. The plugin says its active in the plugins panel but thats the only reference to it i see.
@Thomas
I downgraded to an older version (1.2) and everythign seems to be working ok.
Well, thanks for your feedback, it is incomprehensible for me.
I hope that he feature in the version 1.2 are ok for you :p.
I’m going to compare the diffrence between them.
I’ve installed v1.5 with latest version of WP.
The comments box appears, allows comments to be added. Though when the comment number is clicked, no comment is displayed below, just the add comment box. And when I added a second comment, it was initially saved, but on ajax refresh reverted back to 1 comment being indicated which still can’t be displayed.
Hi,
I upgraded to version 1.5 from previous version and now even though I created some new tasks also, none of the tasks show either in dasboard widget or task manager (which should list all tasks, right?)
Any suggestions?

LEt me know if it solve your problem
@Thomas
It worked, now tasks show up both on widget and task manager.
